Gold farmers would absolutely decimate a servers economy if this happened. Absolutely asinine limit, especially on densely populated servers. This will help a ton for those of us doing open world PvE. That and the Explorer's League and the Reliquiary are supposed to be working together. I'm glad that is going to be implemented, especially since the game's going to be busy. My prediction is the war may soon come to an end and pvp will only exist in instances areas. It was a pain not being able to quest with my bros in the opposite faction. ![]() Faction fanatics can continue fighting each other. Good, should keep those who only care about PvE happy while also keeping those that whine about Horde vs Alliance faction rivalry too. First for important quest and world bosses which were often highly contested and could have lengthy respawn timers, though eventually even regular mobs were changed to allow up to five players to "tap" a common enemy when ungrouped, though only for players of the same faction - Horde and Alliance players still could not share kill credit. Over time, this restriction was reduced in order to smooth out open-world gameplay. The telltale sparkle effect indicates there's loot waiting to be collected. In earlier versions of the game, this promoted grouping up in order to complete objectives, although many lootable quest items were still individual to the player, sometimes resulting in it actually becoming less efficient to group due to splitting loot with other players. Originally in World of Warcraft history, mob tags were individual to the player or party which attacked it first, indicated by the target's health bar turning gray for other players and sometimes returning an error message that the target is already tapped. Tagging refers to being the first player to engage an enemy, giving them the ability to earn loot and experience points from it. In the spirit of cooperation and cross-faction gameplay, ungrouped Horde and Alliance players will be able to share mob tags, beginning with the Dragonflight pre-patch.
